Book clubs are a powerful form of professional development. It shifts professional reading from something solitary to something collaborative and social. When this happens, you get the chance to wrestle with hard questions and bounce ideas back and forth with a community. For this reason, I will be launching a book club for Empower.
Where will these book clubs take place?
I will be setting up private Facebook groups for the book club.
When will this take place?
The book club will begin on January 6, 2018.
When is the deadline for signing up?
The deadline for signing up will be December 22, 2017. I will then send an email sharing all the details about the book club.
Can I get professional development credit?
I am happy to provide a professional development certificate. However, you will need to talk to your leadership to find out whether or not this qualifies. Every institution has different criteria.
Join me in January 2018 for the Empower book club. The entire book club will be available on a private Facebook Group. We will be capping the number of participants at 100, so be sure to sign up fast. The book club will involve weekly discussion questions connected to chapters as well as a few Facebook Live events. I’ll also be adding some exclusive free resources connected to the ideas in the book. There is no cost to join the book club but you will need to purchase your own book.
